I think the reason Sonic is slower than other characters is because spin dash makes him faster

The best part about this is that (if i remember correctly) the car goes fast with more rings. So every time you went through those goal posts to get rings, you just kept getting faster and faster.

I wonder if there's mods that add whole new levels yet. Not replacing existing ones, I mean inserting their own geometry, textures, and even giving them a unique spot on the mission selection map not occupied by a vanilla level. I know there are mods that replace existing levels, like one that turns Mission Street into a giant casino, but other than adding some extra rings and item boxes its pretty much a texture swap.

Something kinda interesting about Amy's opponent being Shadow is that that sort of thing applies to the Chao Garden too, mainly with regard to Chao liking or disliking specific characters Amy shares affinity with Sonic, Metal Sonic with Shadow, Tikal with Knuckles, and Chaos with Rouge. I had spent most of my time there as Metal or Chaos, but when I happened to visit as Shadow and Rouge, I realized the Chao already loved them lol Though thinking on it further... that may be due to the character selection mod as opposed to the game itself, I'm not actually sure
